He recalled that the state of emergency in Serbia was introduced in March by a letter from the Minister of Defense to the President of Serbia.

“The fur headquarters cannot declare a state of emergency,” he told RTS.

“It looked like we had reached the ceiling. I was expecting it to stop at that level this week, but what could have been predicted was happening: the curve keeps going up,” notes Dr. Conn.

Kon cautions that we are not far from a catastrophic epidemiological situation in which people will no longer have a place to be treated.

Dr. Predrag Kon says there is no plan for the future other than to vacate the venues and make sure the most difficult patients have a place to be treated.

“This rush is so great and we should not be surprised because the next stage is a catastrophic epidemiological situation. It is a situation in which there is no place to treat people. You have to understand that I am not saying it out of fear, but rather objective “. emphasizes Dr. Con.

He warns that we are not far from such a catastrophic situation.

“If we now have places in Belgrade to receive patients for just one or two more days, then there is accommodation in all places where there are places, anywhere. That means a lot of effort. Where do the vehicles come from for all that, where? are the drivers, where are these people? why have we appealed so much, “says Conn.
“It is necessary to understand why there were so many appeals and why the measures were not implemented, it will be considered historically,” Kon said.

He pointed out that the legal framework for the implementation of the measures must be harmonized a month before.

“The essence is that we have to stop the virus, if we don’t stop it, it will stop us,” he said.

As he stated, it is not clear to him how there are people who still suspect the existence of the coronavirus.

“Not only can you not realize that this number of people and witnesses is not enough to show someone, and that is between 10 and 15 percent of people, that this is not an invention,” he said.

Belgrade is in an emergency situation all the time, it just doesn’t sit down, he said.

“It’s not funny to me”

When asked to comment on the social media video in which a young man from a nightclub insults him, Kon said he was not amused.

“It’s not that it’s not fun for me personally, but it’s counterproductive,” Conn said.

He claimed that it happens that people, instead of opposing the virus, decided to oppose the measures.

“As a newscaster on these measures, I am in the background. It turns out that I am the subject of the personification,” he said.

Kon said that they are not afraid of threats, but that he does not like hearing insults.

“I don’t care what someone says in an alcoholic state like that. It’s important that there is not a good message from what they send,” Conn said.

He said the fight with kovid 19 will continue and there will be more measures.

“We certainly will not let people die like this, the spread of the virus must be prevented. The fight also exists in the crisis personnel themselves, but it is not for public debate,” Kon said.

Schools are still on the agenda

Schools are still on the agenda, he said.

Kon said it’s good to see what the five-day vacation break will bring for schoolchildren.

“Especially since we are looking forward to the most important celebrations, celebrations and parties,” Kon said, asserting “just so that it is not broadcast intensively and not broadcast in schools.”

Kon mentioned that there is another illness in question, and that is the flu, and that he hopes the mini-holidays will affect that.
