He notes that the Crisis Tab meeting is necessary to determine new measures in the fight against coronavirus, stating that the introduction of mandatory PCR tests for all those entering Serbia is safe.
On Thursday at 9:00 am an extraordinary session of Crisis Tab will be held for the fight against coronavirus, and Dr. Kon says that the main reason is the increase in the number of new infected.
“The number of newcomers is alarming and we have to meet tomorrow and talk about everything. It is clear that the measures can only be more restrictive, and control must also be strengthened, not because of citizen sanctions, but to involve everyone the parts of each institution and institutions ”, he said.
He points out that if it is possible to form a good control system in the car, so that there is no further transmission, then it is feasible for others.
He stressed the importance of everyone getting involved in the fight against the new coronavirus and respecting the measures and recommendations.
“Other restrictions should not be ruled out, and that is not impossible, but they are not yet an option,” said Dr. Kon.
The introduction of mandatory PCR testing for everyone entering Serbia is safe, and this time, Kon says, there will be no exceptions.
“It already exists as a measure, it just has to be applied to everyone. It will be for both our citizens and foreigners. We need to strengthen surveillance and control at the borders,” Kon said.
Asked about possible more radical measures for Belgrade, where the highest number of victims are found, Kon said that Belgrade is one of the cities that has a more serious situation with new arrivals, but that there is no need for them to be more serious.
“Definitely, the number of infected people is growing all over Serbia, not only Belgrade, Kragujevac and Valjevo are also at risk. The only place where it seems to be relatively stable is Vojvodina, although it is also becoming uncertain there,” Kon told Pink TV.
He states that the situation in hospitals is stable for now, but that it is important that non-kovid hospitals remain and that they do not re-enter the kovid system, because this may have unintended consequences.
