Epidemiologist Predrag Kon says on the occasion of the introduction of new measures, that the medical part of the crisis personnel did not accept a compromise. Regarding the possibility of citizens choosing the vaccine, he explains that it will depend on the distribution and that it is a very dynamic process.

“It’s a question of whether we agree to a compromise or whether we agree to the fact that at that time the economic reasons turned over,” Kon said. RTS.

He explains that the situation was different around May 6, when it was the weekend, and that when “we” asked that it be closed all weekend and that Professor Nestorović did not.

He pointed out that it was within the medical part itself and that it was possible at that time and had to be a compromise.

“It was decided to extend the working day, that is, the working day that was given until 8:00 p.m., and within that we continued insisting that something be changed, and that it be not four square meters but nine square meters in shopping malls, classes and reduce that density in shopping centers. It is something that was decided the same and entered into the ordinance, ”says Kon.

“The vaccine that is available is the vaccine for you”

Vaccination against the coronavirus is underway in Serbia and Kon hopes that according to what can be heard, more vaccines will be available in January: “Pfizer-Biontekova”, Sputnik V, as well as the Chinese vaccine.

Regarding the possibility that everyone can choose a vaccine, Kon explains that it depends on the distribution and that it is a very dynamic process.

“How to choose a vaccine: The one that is available right now is a vaccine for you, so I would say so and I would figure it out. None of these vaccines we are talking about will be on the market unless you get Agency approval. Medical and Pharmaceutical. The certificate itself is proof of the safety and efficacy of the vaccine, “said Kon.

As he said, “you do not go to the supermarket or the market to really choose there, but you are looking for one and they say that now we do not have it in the Health Center”.

“Vaccination is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women”

She agrees with Dr. Emina Milošević’s advice that pregnant women should not receive the vaccine, because vaccines are never recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women from the beginning.

“Over time, this data is discovered in accidental cases, when a woman is vaccinated and does not know that she is pregnant, and then you see if there are any consequences, so it comes with time. For now, at first, certainly not recommended “Theoretically, there is no reason against it, but that doesn’t mean anything. There is no evidence that anything can affect the fetus, “Kon explained.
