Predrag Koluvija, owner of the company “Jovanjica”, accused of finding 1.6 tons of marijuana on his property, presented his defense today in the Special Court in Belgrade and said that he was not the organizer of the criminal group that produced drugs. Colluvia defended itself mainly by issuing volleys of insults at the expense of prosecutors and police, but also of mysterious Americans. While Koluvija was defending himself in the courtroom, President Vučić mentioned him at the conference, while defending his family.

Coluvia claims to have grown industrial hemp, not marijuana, but he was targeted by the police, because, as he says, they reached his Jovanjica politicians and ambassadors.

“There is a plan to endanger the security of Serbia with this procedure and to override the Serbian security services,” the accused said.

Koluvija’s defense is based on a series of accusations against police inspectors and prosecutor Sasa Drecun.

He especially highlighted the alleged conversation with a certain inspector Mitic, who, as the accused claims, listened to the prosecutor.

“He told me that he knew that he had produced seedlings for Andrej Vučić and Zvonko Veselinović and that he should sign the prosecutor for that,” Koluvija said.

Vučić announces surprises

While Koluvija presented his defense to the judges and mentioned the Vučić family, around the same time, President Vučić spoke to the press about his future plans, but also about, as he himself puts it, the attacks on his brother Andrej, and he also mentioned Coluvia.

“Where is that invitation with Coluvia, or to everyone’s surprise, they will soon hear that others spoke with Coluvia, to everyone’s surprise. Interesting things, ”Vucic said.

Coluvia is explicit that he has not called anyone on the phone since the police stopped him on the road. He adds that the calls, although in jest, were mentioned by the police when they accompanied him to Jovanjica.

“The police came up and made fun of me. They told me, ‘Call Nebojsa Stefanovic while you can.’ Minister Stefanovic and I are not friends,” Koluvija said.

Under attack by mysterious Americans

The defendant also claims that before his arrest he was attacked by US hemp producers because he was working against their interests.

Coluvia, he claims, worked to unite European producers in order to resist the attempt by the Americans to seize the European market. During the defense, he also insisted that, as a great believer, he did only what was good for Serbia.

Predrag Koluvija said that he believes he was not arrested, in order to develop his business to the extent that he would participate in Serbia’s GDP with more than one percent, and in that way help the entire Serbian economy. The presentation of the Koluvija defense continues on Tuesday.
