The trial of Predrag Koluvija, majority owner of the “Jovanjica” farm, where almost four tons of marijuana were seized last year, continued today in the Belgrade Special Court with an introductory presentation of the defense.
Lawyer Zora Dobričanin Nikodinović, who represents the first defendant Koluvija in these proceedings, asked again what is happening with the electricity at the property. He discussed the proposal on the letter for the electricity consumed in the property, which was presented by the Prosecutor’s Office writes Nova.rs.
“It is incredible that the same electricity was consumed for August and November when Jovanjica was not working. The invoice for July or August is identical to November. If Jovanjica works at full steam in August, we have the fact that as of November 13 almost no electricity is consumed. How is almost the same number of bills paid for those months? Who used electricity in Jovanjica? “Asked the lawyer and added:” Why is electricity required only until 1.1.2020, and not later as we request? I suggest we see again who consumes electricity in Jovanjica, ”he said.
Let us remind you that attorney Zora Dobricanin Nikodinović has previously stated that electricity consumption on this agricultural property is debatable. He previously noted that in the afternoon hours of March 16 of this year, the day after the declaration of the state of emergency due to the coronavirus epidemic, he photographed this plantation from a car, where the lights were on.
Dobricanin Nikodinovic then reported to the Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office, which was conducting the investigation, requesting to investigate why the property was illuminated in the middle of the night, if the MUP officially announced that only the police securing the property had been there since the arrest of Colluvius.
By the way, he pointed out again today that it is not true that narcotics were grown on the property. In the raid, he refuted most of the evidence proposed by the prosecution, saying that he did not know how some of it arrived and when, as well as that it was obtained illegally during the illegal search.
“It is not true that the search was conducted from November 13 to 15, 2019. The search ended on November 13 without a warrant. Something that was completed cannot continue. However, it was the 14th again and it started at nine in the morning. and almost at 6.15pm. Then on November 15 it resumed at 10 a.m. almost at 3:00 p.m. The search was not carried out from 13 to 15, but on 13, without order and without explanation. that both the 14 and the 15 were done without order. That is why I suggested that all the evidence obtained at that time be separated from the case, ”he said.
It should be remembered that, in addition to Koluvija, Sergej Mrdja, who is a fugitive, is being tried in this procedure, then Vladan Zivojinovic, Branislav Miljevic, Zdravko Milosevic, Stevan Holic, Vulet Bojovic, Petar Zivanovic, Petar Hricaj and Boban Jovanovic.
