The virus spreads as much as measures are not followed
The deputy director of the institute “Dr. Milan Jovanović Batut”, Darija Kisić Tepavčević, said today that the increase in the number of people infected with the corona virus is not unexpected.
“We are going to the period when the season is cold, when they are expected to spread with greater intensity,” Kisić Tepavčević said on the First Television program.
Kisic Tepavcevic estimated that the virus is spreading as much as preventive measures are not respected.
“The fact that it is much worse in most European countries is not something that should console us. We continue to be one of the countries with the lowest risk,” he said, highlighting that there were many situations in which epidemiological measures were not respected.
He stated that everyone should understand that everyone is individually responsible primarily for their own health and then for the health of their loved ones and others.
Most of those infected with kovid 19 are the workforce, he added.
Kisic Tepavcevic also said that about 15 percent of laboratory-confirmed cases required hospitalization.
According to her, the highest number of deaths from the corona virus are people who were on a respirator.
