“We have not yet decided on some of the most radical measures, in terms of restricting movement or working hours. The situation is extremely unfavorable and unstable. The fact that it is worse in other countries should not console us. We have decided to reduce the number of people who can meet indoors and outdoors. You know it was 30, now it’s down to five, “Kisić-Tepavčević said.

He explained that cinemas and theaters will remain open, respecting all epidemiological procedures, maintaining a safe distance, using masks and disinfection.

“The prohibition of meeting at public events means different types of celebrations, congresses, seminars. Firstly, it refers to organized meetings, it does not refer to the school and work environment. In such environments, it is possible, but under the obligation to provide four square meters per person in the room, which means that the distance between people is two meters “- said Kisić-Tepavčević, adding that this measure will be regulated by law, and that it is not a recommendation level.

The decision was made that, in addition to the founders, high school students will also receive fall recess from October 11-13.

“Although we have seen that the school environment so far has not proven to be a trigger for the spread of the infection, we have decided to equalize the holidays in primary and secondary schools. That is valid for the area of central Serbia and for the area of Vojvodina. “Kisić-Tepavčević said.

He expressed his hope that the young people will not take this opportunity for some new meetings.

“We must constantly influence each other, criticize each other if we do not wear masks. It is recognized that indoors transmit all respiratory infections,” Kisić-Tepavčević said.

From yesterday to today, 2,282 new cases of the corona virus have been registered in Serbia and 10 people have died. A total of 57,958 people have contracted the virus in our country so far and 851 deaths have been registered.
