The High Prosecutor’s Office took over from the Basic Prosecutor’s Office the case of the death of the hunter Predrag M. (53) from Donji Dušnik and an investigation was launched against Miroslav Č. (53) of Gornji Dušnik, who killed him during the hunt on August 16. who committed the crime of murder, “Blic” finds out.
Miroslav Č. After the detention measure was imposed for up to 48 hours, he was first suspected of deprivation of life due to negligence, for which he was threatened with up to five years in prison. For this reason, the process was initiated before the Basic Public Ministry, where he was interrogated on suspicion of having inadvertently murdered Predrag M.
Following a hearing at the prosecution office on 18 August, he was brought before an investigating judge at the Nis Court of First Instance, who ordered his arrest so as not to influence unheard witnesses. However, after that, the case was submitted to the jurisdiction of the Nis Superior Prosecutor’s Office.
– Criminal charges were brought before the Basic Public Ministry for the crime of deprivation of life due to negligence, after which the case was submitted to the Higher Public Ministry of Nis, which issued an order to investigate the suspect for homicide under article 113 of the Criminal Code – confirmed for “Blic” Senior Deputy Prosecutor of the VJT Nina Milenović.
Inadvertent deprivation of life is punishable by up to five years in prison, while for the crime of homicide under article 113 of the Penal Code, the penalties can be much more severe because the penalty provided by law can be up to 15 years in prison.
As “Blic” wrote, the tragedy occurred on Sunday, August 16, around 11 am, during a wild boar hunt in the village of Kaletinac near Gadžin Han. Predrag was shot in the right thigh, but bled on the way to the ambulance at Donji Dusnik, about 10 kilometers away.
According to the locals, two shots were fired and Predraga received 12 bullets in the thigh, causing a fatal wound in the femoral artery.
The Predrag victims and the suspect Miroslav have known each other for a long time and, to compound the tragedy, they were friends at the school desk where they sat together in an eight-year-old school. According to the information so far, it is not known that they were in any conflict or in a bad relationship.
According to unofficial stories circulating in Donji Dušnik, Miroslav Č. Immediately after the tragedy, he justified himself by stumbling, and a fatal arson allegedly occurred so carelessly.
According to the second option, in which the locals believe less, because M. Č. He was a hunter with 30 years of experience: he was shooting at bushes where something creaked, thinking he was shooting a wild boar. After the unfortunate event, he allegedly defended himself and that the victim was dressed in black, but one of the relatives assures that Predrag had a grayish white T-shirt and that it showed.
According to unofficial information, the murdered Predrag was not in the group of hunters with whom Miroslav Č went hunting that day. How it appeared at the scene of the tragedy, whether it was hunting with another group or came to the vicinity of Kaletinec under other circumstances, and whether it was properly marked and under what circumstances the fatal shots were fired, will certainly be the key things I have to shed light on research.
