With these words, residents of the Opovo municipality describe Kurir Nedeljka V. (28) who committed a brutal crime on Thursday when he beat his roommate to death in the Borca neighborhood of Belgrade.
By the way, after the murder, Nedeljko threw his dead roommate Miroslav M. (29) into the bushes in front of the building and then allegedly returned to the apartment to go to bed.
Since Nedeljko was born in Opovo, the locals of this town certainly have no words of praise for him.
– Many people know his family, he also has a younger brother, but the two are completely different. His brother is a good young man, he played sports and Nedeljko was always weird, said one of Kurir’s neighbors, Nedeljko V.
According to acquaintances, Nedeljko lived in Opovo with his wife and children until recently.
– The four of them, the woman, her first brother’s son and their common son lived together, but we are almost witnesses that he abused her often. Tenants often hear noise from their apartment. They were warned several times, but they did not pay much attention to it – said one of the acquaintances and added:
– He is terribly sad for those children and the poor woman who had to do all the housework, he never wanted to help her. I don’t even know what they lived on, I never saw him go to work – said the neighbor.
Nedeljko reportedly recently divorced his wife and has since moved with his friend to Borča.
– We found out that you started living with him in a rented apartment in Borča some time ago. Both of them likely used narcotics, so they decided to be together. It is alleged to be a debt of 170 euros, which is why Nedeljko killed him, one of Nedeljko’s acquaintances told Kurir.
Let us remind you, the murder took place on Julije Delere street, in a rented apartment in the attic of the building. As we learned, the body, which was covered with part of the bed and an old mattress, was found by a postman in a bush in Ulica ratnih vojnih invalida.
– Nedeljko was supposedly a drug dealer, but he was also a consumer. The victim was a drug user and this apartment was his refuge. On the fateful night, the two allegedly took drugs and first got into a verbal fight. After that, there was a physical shock – said the source.

According to the interlocutor, at one point the victim became too heavy for him.
– He was sitting on the steps and catching his breath so he could kick out his roommate and thus get rid of the lifeless body. There is a camera at the entrance of the building, which probably filmed the killer with a naked roommate, says the source, adding:
– He took it to the next building and left it in the bush. After that, he ran away. He was arrested in a quick and effective police action.
