The headquarters of the crisis brought new measures: it is forbidden to gather more than five people indoors and outdoors. Belgrade Mayor Zoran Radojicic told RTS that this refers to places where a distance of two meters cannot be provided. He said that now the emphasis is on the amount of contacts between people.
Belgrade Mayor Zoran Radojicic told RTS that the measure to limit the number of people in indoor and outdoor public gatherings to five people is a significant measure. He stated that the measure refers to places where a distance of two meters cannot be provided.
– In the previous period, we emphasized the use of masks and distance, and now, at this time, the emphasis is on the number of contacts you have during a day. If you have ten contacts, you can follow them, you know who you saw and you can have control over the situation, stated Radojicic during a guest appearance on RTS’s Belgrade Chronicle.
He noted that the important thing is personal responsibility.
Radojicic explained that the five-person limit refers to places where a two-meter distance cannot be provided.
– It was the same in the previous period for number 30, now it is for number five – said Radojicic.
He stated that both cinemas and theaters should provide distance between visitors.
Crisis staff members discuss and present various arguments
Speaking about crisis staff, Radojicic said that the body works by having staff members discuss and present various arguments and thoughts.
– On the one hand, we are thinking about how to protect people’s health, and that is the main measure and it is what we are all focusing on. The next important thing in our conversations and proposals is how to protect the health system, considering that the health system is in danger in this way, by increasing the number of patients – said Radojicic.
As the mayor of Belgrade said, attention is paid to the situation in neighboring countries, but also to how to function in the economic sense.
“When all that is taken into account – conclusions are made and action is taken,” Radojicic said.
“It is difficult to define optimal measures”
He points out that it is difficult to be on the Crisis Staff and that it is difficult to define the optimal measures and that the Staff is trying to find a balance between all things.
Radojicic affirmed that the crisis headquarters of the city has the opportunity to decide for itself and that Belgrade, due to the importance and number of inhabitants, joins its measures with the Crisis Staff of the Republic.
– The key places where the infection spreads are restaurants. The suggestion was to reduce the music, insist on less loud music. Dr. Kon talked about it. Then they will speak less loudly and that way the virus will spread less – said the mayor of Belgrade.
It evaluated that the collection of fines in situ and the closure of the restoration facilities for 72 hours, which should introduce the reforms to the Law of Protection of the Population against Infectious Diseases, should allow a more efficient application of the measures, since more people will be able to do it.
Zoran Radojicic said that the epidemic has its own dynamics and rhythm, but he also believes that we will react even more conscientiously to the epidemic situation and that we will be more committed to the measures.
