Author and presenter of the program “24 minutos” on the occasion of the new season, which starts on Saturday, September 12 on TV Nova S.
Also, the studios in which we shoot are in a magical place where the air is clean and there are many birds. I look forward to every shoot, especially since the pain of writing the script is over, says Zoran Kesić, in a conversation with Danas, ahead of the start of the new season of the “24 minutes” show, which begins Saturday on Nova S at 9 pm
Kesić, the face of the program, who with the News Net team sees our reality in a satirical way, speaks for our newspaper about the most current political issue in Serbia: the elections in Montenegro, but also about the fact that politics are not you can get away no matter how hard you try.
We will contact you even if you are on vacation in another country. Charming, spontaneous, with a captivating smile and above all modest (according to him), he announces for Danas what we will see in the first episode and if the famous mug will eventually be replaced by a pen or a study key.
Are you waiting for the new season?
I don’t think anyone on our team is looking forward to the new season. Especially after a hiatus of almost two and a half months.
What we can lie about, it’s good not to have an obligation to deal with politics and politicians from week to week like we do.
Of course, when we get into the groove after a couple of episodes, we won’t have this “oh no, this again” feeling, on the contrary. We’ll go back to work and start biting as usual.
Did any news catch your eye during the summer break that you regretted not working and couldn’t “process” it?
Not really. The protests in the streets of Belgrade that began the first nights of my stay on the coast caught my attention.
So, I get to the sea and at home the shork begins. My first impulse was “where are we going to the sea now” and a crazy desire to go back to Belgrade, because I had to do something like that without my presence.
However, the further unfolding of events and the knowledge of what is really happening there and who is happening there have made me happy not to be in Belgrade.
Did you take a break from politics or did you still follow what was going on?
I followed the policy as much as necessary, but without the obligation, need, or desire to comment on it publicly.
I’m not on Twitter, Facebook serves me mainly to spy on other people’s activities, my only social network during the holidays was the network of my society. I live, by my side.
Recently there were elections in Montenegro and there is no Serbian citizen who does not have an opinion on the results. Which one is yours
I am glad that these results mark the end of decades-long one-man rule. I mean, I’m glad.
It is not even decent to be in power for that long, and I think the changes for medicine are for democracy. Frequent changes
I would not declare the new Montenegrin regime or Chetnik nationalist in advance, as I see it already seems, because it is not polite to talk about something in advance until we see what it will be and how it will be. Or to rephrase, each pop has some ideas, wishes and dreams, but let’s not forget that there is also a pop about pop.
I believe that some know of my personal sympathy and love for Montenegro and Montenegrins, at least through my love relationships with the Buksovci, and I would like our peoples to start behaving normally.
And that, normally in the case of Serbia and Montenegro, must mean brotherhood, friendship and the best neighborhood.
The signing of the agreement in the US between Vučić, Hoti and Trump was satirically followed by the local public and politicians, even high representatives of European countries. Do you have any material left and will you address that topic?
It will be a hit theme in the first episode of the new season, and we will have to warm up the hockey stick well, pencil sewing and write many pieces of paper to find the key to that theme.
It is true that it is difficult to invent something new that hordes of satirists on social networks have not already thought, but the hordes do not have my charm, spontaneity, captivating smile and some immediacy of mine that wins the hearts of all viewers.
And modesty, which is also my quality, neither have the hordes. I have. And always a great suit.
Have you thought about giving your guests a pen or study keys instead of a mug?
Here it is! Now you too are satirical. So can anyone in this country at least try not to be resourceful?
We even have some serious newspaper editors-in-chief who are known as satirists. All mine to mine. I mean, friend. But yeah, we thought we were giving the guests pens and keys, but now it turns out that we stole their original idea. Thank you very much!
Impression, Ivan Ivanović, PLJiŽ are also starting
The weekends will be much more satisfying from September 12, because Zoran Kesić and Olja Bećković will take care of that. On the “24 Minutes with Zoran Kesić” and “Impression of the Week” programs, which do not change their broadcast dates, viewers will be provided, each in their own style, an overview of the most important events during the week announced Nova S. Television.
Our chef, Lepi Brka, took advantage of the summer to prepare recipes for some interesting dishes and will show us how to cook them in the “Domaćinske Price” program, but only from the middle of the month when the new season begins. Until September 14, you will also visit some interesting places in Serbia, talk with the hosts and housewives of that area, but also learn from them how to cook local specialties.
Spectators will be able to see “Balkan Street” starting on September 15, and Vesna Dedić promises many intriguing guests who will tell the story of her life in her home.
The first guests will be greeted by Ivan Ivanović on his evening show program on September 18, and laughter is guaranteed with the “4 and a half men” we have dated since September 21, while Dr. Katarina Bajec awaits us at starting September 27.
PLJIŽ’s return to small screens is scheduled for October 1.
