“At KBC Dragiša Mišović’s kovid hospital, most of the patients are over 70 years old, but there is also a 22-year-old who is in a very serious condition. Doctors are worried and hope they can return to work soon to the extent that conditions permit, ”says Dr. Predrag Savić, deputy director of that institution.
Doctors and epidemiologists fear that there may be a greater number of coronavirus infections due to those returning from summer holidays from countries where the epidemiological situation is bad.
There are currently 70 patients at Dragiša Mišović Clinical Hospital. More than 20 of them are in a serious acute condition and 10 are in intensive care. Of these, four patients were intubated.
Predrag Savić told “RTS” that fortunately there are still no patients waiting for the summer holidays and that mostly they are patients who were infected in the country.
Remember that KBC “Dragiša Mišović” is exclusively a covid hospital, but that gynecology also deals with inconsistent patients.
He says they hope to be able to establish a normal work process in other parts of the hospital soon, if conditions permit.
He also points out that his institution, in addition to the Infectious Diseases Clinic and KBC Bežanijska kosa, is currently the only one that cares for patients with kovid and that the number of patients in the last month is at the same level.
Savic said Misovic’s doctors did not notice the relief experienced by other hospitals, but were trying to give people rest.
