VP (46) was injured when he was attacked in front of the family home in Ripanj and stabbed in the cheek by MP (37) from this Belgrade neighborhood.
As it says for “Kurir”, he assumes the attacker was waiting for him in an ambush. The vice president said the attack occurred around 7.15pm when he went to the store.
– I left the house and saw the garbage in front of the gate that I was going to throw away. At that moment, a car approached me, an MP flew out and stabbed me in the left cheek. After that, I don’t remember anything anymore – he told “Kurir”, who is currently being treated at the Military Medical Academy.
As he says, the attacker is known in Ripanj as troublesome and allegedly had trouble with the law before.
– I helped him, he worked for me for a salary, he had nothing to live on. I really don’t know why he did it. I was not expecting any attack, because I started to throw away the garbage that I found in front of the gate and I did not care if there was someone in the street. We have never been in a conflict, so I don’t know what the motive for the attack could be – said VP
He was operated on and is at the Military Medical Academy, and has another operation ahead of him. The attacked man is employed in a driving school, has three children from his first marriage and is expecting a fourth with his second wife.
