The group of Journalists against violence against women called on state authorities to react urgently to the death threats that were reportedly sent to Vreme journalist Jovana Gligorijevic on social media this morning. NUNS and UNS are seeking a reaction from the prosecution.

Claiming that Jovana Gligorijevic has received similar threats since 2016, the group warned that her family was “exposed on the Investigation portal, which was created for a confrontation with independent journalists and, above all, female journalists.”

The Serbian Journalists Association condemned the threat that Jovana Gligorijevic received on the Instagram social network and requested that the High-Tech Crime Prosecutor’s Office identify the person who threatened her and initiate proceedings against her.

UNS claims that the editorial board of “Vreme” announced that an unknown person sent a message to Gligorijevic on Instagram this morning: “Human waste and sediment from society, payday is near.”
