Singer-songwriter Djordje Balasevic passed away from pneumonia on February 19, at the age of 67, leaving behind his wife Olivera and three children, daughters Jovana and Jelena and son Alex.
Balasevic’s son has struggled successfully for years, starting a private business a few years ago.
Alexa has received numerous awards for her success in wrestling and has been hosting MMA fights for a long time.
– I did a business with an interesting sport that is not the most popular in Serbia, but that does not mean that it will not be, as evidenced by the tournaments that I organized taking pioneering steps in the Serbian market. In the business, guided by my own idea, I entered spontaneously, even without excessive ambitions, but I’m not saying they don’t exist now, because success brings new plans and challenges – Alex told Kurir a few days ago.
On that occasion, he did not want to reveal whether his father George should have proven himself in the film, but later noted that he was giving helpful advice.
– That’s right, we’ll make “Megdan movie”. Finally to say our plan and the decision of my production. This has been talked about for several months now, and it is my turn to present at least something officially to the public because I can no longer hide from the audience what it is really about. This fall, we started working on the script that we finished, for the feature film about Megdan, which, God willing, we will do next year, says Balašević for Kurir.
He could not answer us if his father George would try in the film as an actor, but he gave him useful advice.
– My family helped me a lot in the script, especially because one of the actors in the film should be inspired by my father’s song “Man with the moon in his eyes”. I don’t want to reveal anything else, because work is starting on locations, productions, castings, only after we hope to see our most famous artistic prince and gentleman in the near future. After that, some cubes should be put together so that we can start creating the eternal Megdan as soon as possible, transformed into a film – notes Balašević.
By the way, Aleksa found happiness near her fiancé Nikola, but her father, as well as other members of her family, did not attend the engagement.
– We got engaged in Nazareth. I waited for the blessing of the Patriarchate for several months and they decided that I would be there, with Bishop Romanos, the man of God responsible for peace in those places, Alex said last year and revealed that those closest to me missed the commitment.
