The president of the Popular Party, Vuk Jeremic, affirmed that the party would act independently, in coordination with “comrades from the boycott.”

“We do not see as partners those who went to the polls in the Vučić elections, both those who passed the electoral roll and those who did not,” Jeremić said at the session of the Main Board of the People’s Party, held in Čačak.

Jeremic said the top priorities of the Popular Party are field work and preparation for possible elections.

The Main Commission gave a mandate to the Presidency of the Popular Party to decide whether and in what format it will participate in a possible dialogue on electoral conditions, if it is carried out with the mediation of the European Union.

“Today, Serbia is the only one in Europe, along with Belarus, that has doubts about the legitimacy of elected institutions and an unopposed parliament, and professional analysts and diplomats classify Serbia as a hybrid regime,” Jeremic said.

According to him, today Serbia is “a hybrid of tyranny, corruption, immorality, crime and treason.”

Today, Serbia has reached a depth that no one would have expected when the government last changed democratically in 2012. Today, we are fighting against the hydra of the criminal state, which has put us in a situation where we wonder if it is possible to be democratic and peaceful, to change the government through the media and seize the opportunity for future generations, ”said the president of the Popular Party.
