The director of the World Health Organization in Serbia, Marjan Ivanuša, warned that the coronavirus situation in Serbia is very serious and that the country has been among the top three in terms of the number of new cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days.

The measures that are in force have partially fulfilled their function, but we are where we are, said Ivanuša for TV Prva, noting that Georgia, Andorra, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria are leading in terms of the number of new patients, in addition to Serbia

Ivanuša said that he always thought that the measures should be implemented as soon as possible.

The situation continues to get worse, we will see where we are in a week, but based on the number of patients, I am afraid it will take longer. It will last, I don’t think it’s better mid-December than it is now, Ivanuša noted.

Speaking of vaccines, he stated that the producer license will be in mid-December, and if vaccines arrive this or next year, they will be limited to certain groups.
