The deputy director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic, Ivana Milošević, affirmed, after the meeting of the Minister of Health, Zlatibor Lončar, with the directors of the covid hospitals, that the number of examinations in that institution exceeds 400 days.

“Although we called for patients to report to competent kovid clinics first, large numbers continue to go directly to the Infectious Diseases Clinic. The moment a space is vacated, a new patient is admitted immediately.” , said.

Milosevic added that they are no longer in a position to receive patients who do not require oxygen, and those people are referred for home treatment.

“Is it more important to go skiing, New Years Eve, or stay healthy? In early fall it was ‘we know someone who got sick’, now I’m sure many of us know a family where someone died from the crown.” she said.

The deputy director of the Infectious Disease Clinic said she takes care of her peers.

“Doctors are on respirators. Please do not expose yourself to the virus, respect the measures. We cannot hold out like this for long,” Milosevic concluded.

The director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic, Goran Stevanović, stated that “the system is subjected to extreme limits”, so as not to endanger some patients.

“The influx of patients, especially those who require oxygen therapy, who require urgent hospital care, is huge,” he added.

Stevanovic notes that patients are “redeployed” daily to existing openings.

He made a new appeal, first of all to those who, as he himself says, do not believe that the virus exists, to begin to respect preventive measures.
