According to the latest data, there are 106 patients on ventilators in Serbia.

The highest number of people on ventilators since the beginning of the epidemic was recorded on July 22, when 205 patients were undergoing regular lung surgery.

That number decreased and increased during July, so the smallest number of these patients would be at the beginning of the epidemic in March.

Critically and with hospitalization

Parallel to that number, the number of people hospitalized in Serbia has been increasing since the beginning of November.

At the end of October, that number was around 400, and today as many as 2,549 infected people require hospital treatment.

The most difficult situation is that of Belgrade, and the Minister of Health, the Serbian Minister of Health, Zlatibor Lonar, said today that the last moment is for the citizens of Belgrade to show solidarity to stop the growth of the number of infected.

“The health care system is not designed so that you can put the whole of Serbia in it when you get sick. The worst situation is in Belgrade. People behave more irresponsibly there. The system has a certain bandwidth that can endure, and the goal is for each patient to receive proper medical care. “Lonar noted.
