One of the decisions made today is that no matter how long the season breaks, the Dutch scenario will not apply in Italy to maintain the status quo. In Serie A, they broke that, in any case, the number of clubs in the league remained at 20, with descent and promotion to a higher classification.
This means that if the current classification were declared definitive, Brescia and SPAL would be eliminated from the league, while the new members of Serie A would become Benevento and Crotone. That is the current option that is on the table, although according to the rules of the Italian first league, it would take three clubs to leave the elite ranking and three new ones to enter. However, in Serie B, a bar is played for that third place in which six clubs participate.
