All Požega residents who knew U. Đ. (29) and his girlfriend JJ (30), who were found dead in the bathroom of a house in the town of Kremna on Tuesday night, only speak of the unfortunate couple in a superlative. They were employed in the “Budimka” in Požega, both as engineers, he in electrical engineering and she in agriculture. U. Đ. He lived in Visibaba, a suburb of Požega, and JJ in the village of Ježevica.

The exact cause of his death is still unknown, but everything indicates that the young man suffered an electric shock from the boiler while bathing, while the girl died from the electricity while trying to save him.
The time of the tragedy is also unknown, as they were last seen alive on Monday afternoon, and more than 24 hours later they were found dead.
According to the inhabitants of Dugi Do, a village in Kreman, where the house where the people of Požega were murdered is located, their lifeless bodies were found by a relative of the young man.
– I don’t remember exactly when they came from Požega, whether on Saturday or Sunday. I last saw them on Monday afternoon, from what I remember, they told me they were in Mokra Gora. They parked the car on top of my house, because the house they were in was in the valley, about a hundred meters deep, and they were afraid they wouldn’t be able to get out from below if it snowed. On Tuesday, I didn’t see them all day, although I did notice the outside light was on in the house, says a Kreman resident.
The house in which U. Đ. and JJ belonged to his grandfather, who is originally from here and who died a fortnight ago in Požega, where he lived. In a house that was built about 15 years ago, U. Đ. According to the inhabitants of this town, he came here with his girlfriend in summer and during vacations.
The two did not answer the phone for all of Tuesday. Feeling that something was wrong, U’s family Đ. in the afternoon, he invited relatives and neighbors to ask about them. He entered the house and found a horrible sight in the bathroom.
– I was sitting and watching television, when around 9:30 pm I noticed some lights and heard cars passing by. It was strange to me because few people pass by here. He got out and saw a police officer and a funeral vehicle. He didn’t know what was happening until the neighbor shouted: “Children have died.” It’s difficult for me, I knew him well as a hardworking and educated young man, last summer he told me that he planned to get married – Vidosav Đurđić told “Blic” whose house is close to the one that Požega people lost their lives.
Yesterday, police inspectors conducted an investigation at Dugi Do’s home. They only told us briefly that for now they would not comment on the causes of the tragedy. It is not known for now if there was a fault in the boiler on Wednesday or if the faulty installations caused an electric shock.
According to what they told “Blic” in the Uzice Superior Prosecutor’s Office, the causes of the accident must be determined by autopsy of both bodies and the expected report of the electrical expert.
