The elections in Montenegro are over, the opposition has won and the National Organism for the Coordination of Infectious Diseases (NCT) of Montenegro took a decision tonight that will make the citizens of Serbia happy, because they will be able to travel to that country cheaper.
Until now, citizens of Serbia have been able to enter Montenegro with a negative PCR test result or a positive serological test result for Igg antibodies as proof that they have had the corona virus at some point. However, from now on, a negative result on a serological IgM antibody test will suffice, as proof that the person is not currently infected with COVID-19.
Until now, our citizens had to pay for a PCR test that cost 6,000 dinars and wait in lines for hours to get the test, unless they had passed the crown, to be able to confirm it with a serological test that tested positive for IgG antibodies.
Considering that antibody tests cost around 1,200 dinars and can be done in private laboratories, it is obvious to save time and money for, say, a family of four.
Although the obligation to test for citizens of Serbia was expected to be abolished, that did not happen tonight.
For the mandatory testing of Serbian citizens to be abolished, there has been talk for two weeks now, and Dr. Boban Mugoša, director of the Montenegrin Institute of Public Health and a member of the National Infectious Diseases Coordination Agency (NCT), has talked about it on several occasions. a man who is a counterpart to our Dr. Predrag Kon.
According to the Montenegrin media, the new decision of the Government of Montenegro on the mitigated measures to enter this country should take effect immediately after its publication in the Official Gazette, which was scheduled for tonight or tomorrow at the latest.
