No one was injured in the shooting, which took place near the administrative line, and members of the police responded by firing into the air.

– During the day, a tractor with trees overturned for Albanians from Podujevo villages who stole the forest within Kursumlija municipality. When they came to get the tractor out in the afternoon, they opened fire with automatic weapons on the policemen who noticed the theft. Fortunately, no one was injured in that shooting and the police responded by shooting into the air, a source familiar with this incident said, explaining that the shooting occurred near Lukovska Banja on a stretch of the administrative line that was not inhabited.

By the way, this is the second shooting by Albanian forest robbers in the last four days against members of the police in Kursumlija municipality who provide the administrative line. Fortunately, no one was injured in the previous shooting either, but the forest robberies, especially in this period by Albanians, are on the stretch of the administrative line that runs between 106 kilometers from Kursumlija and the municipality of Podujevo.

The other, that is, the Kosovo side of the administrative line, is provided by the Kosovo police and KFOR, but noise thieves invade this area of the administrative line, which is mountainous, hilly and forested, and during the control of the Serbian police that prevents the theft of forests, the Albanians arrive mostly armed.

The damage caused by the theft of the forest is invaluable, especially since, in addition to the theft of trees, they also change the configuration of the land by unplanned logging. Forest robbers are generally not punished because no one controls them on the other side of the administrative line.
