Stevan’s body was found on October 22 in the early hours of the morning in the attic of the family home in the Lazarevac settlement of Petka. His friends and acquaintances affirm for Alo.rs that he was a good and hard-working young man. For now, there is no information on whether he left a farewell letter, and it is presumed that he committed suicide due to love problems.

He was a hired soldier in one of the Pancevo barracks. He lived there to avoid a daily trip from Lazarevac to Pancevo. He reached out to himself when he took the days off and went home to Lazarevac. It is not known what preceded that act, if they really had a fight or he broke up with the girl. He is a good and dedicated young man and we are all in shock. – says Stevan’s acquaintance.

Stevan last posted the photo to his Facebook profile on October 2. He was photographed smiling, in a military uniform, and on top of the photo he placed three Serbian flags.

There was nothing to indicate that she might hurt herself because she didn’t complain to anyone that she was in trouble. The family informed the barracks, after which the elders came to express their condolences. – says one of the friends of the deceased soldier.

This is the second suicide of members of the Serbian army this month. On October 8, AR shot himself in the head in the parking lot of the “Vasa Čarapić” barracks in Banjica.
