Is the “JULY SCENARIO” approaching? At the old and new access point, the situation is alarming, doctors warn, the numbers are growing and TWO ARE GUILTY FOR IT

In Novi Pazar, Sjenica and Tutin, the epidemiological picture is deteriorating again. The number of infected is growing and, at the same time, the number of vaccinated is extremely small. Doctors warn that the situation worsens day by day, even becoming alarming. How far are we from the “July scene”?

Judging by the words, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Mirsad Đerlek, is very close.

– We pray to God that what we experienced last year in June and July will never happen again, that is why we are very careful. By order of Minister Lončar, I went to the field to see the situation and I can say that it is alarming in Novi Pazar because Kopaonik is close to us, and the people of Novi Pazar go skiing and transmit the virus more – said Đerlek.

The weakest response to vaccination.

Although other doctors have warned of skiing as a possible source of infection, Novi Pazar, Sjenica and Tutin have another big problem: the weaker response to vaccination.

The percentage of vaccinated in this city is around five percent, and the vaccines they received, as the doctors say, “cannot be spent.” So far, only about 700 people have been vaccinated in Tutin.

The situation with the coronavirus in these cities is worsening, so doctors in these cities fear that the scenario seen last summer will be repeated.

The number of patients receiving treatment for Kovid 19 at Novi Pazar hospital is increasing and there are currently 140 people hospitalized. The number of examinations in outpatient clinics is also growing and, sadly, there are deaths every day.

But an even bigger problem is the poor response to vaccination. In Novi Pazar, only 4,800 people received the first dose and 2,600 the second dose of the vaccine. Interestingly, not even 700 people in Tutin received the first dose.

“The anti-vaccine lobby is present, conspiracy theories are represented”

Tutin Health Center epidemiologist Dr. Mithat Eminović said that part of the country is “fertile ground” for conspiracy theories so citizens do not come to get vaccinated. He said that “the anti-vaccine lobby is present and conspiracy theories are represented.”

– We have enough vaccines, but we have vaccinated less than 700 citizens with the second dose. It is a complex problem. People are confused by various information, and there are elements of the anti-vaccine movement in this area, without a scientific basis, says Dr. Eminović.

Doctors at the Novi Pazar hospital believe that the neighbors “forgot how it was this summer” and that they do not adhere to wearing masks and keeping their distance, but also to resist vaccination.

– I’m waiting to see how all this goes. Let it hang out for a while. Then I will decide which vaccine to receive – says one of the residents of Novi Pazar.

As it happened in July at Novi Pazar:

And many in this part of Serbia have a similar opinion. And “conspiracy theories” are so creative that they take the form of science fiction.

“We cannot consume vaccines”

The director of the Novi Pazar Health Center, Ervin Ćorović, assessed that the epidemiological situation in this part of Serbia is very worrying and threatens to end, unless the anti-epidemiological measures are fully complied with.

He pointed out that the number of vaccinated citizens, which is below five percent, was not satisfied and that the vaccines “cannot be consumed.”

– In the last two weeks, the situation is worrying and worsens. The number of patients at Kovid’s clinic and hospital is increasing. The number of positive people is also increasing. We are afraid of the scenario we had in June and July. The response to vaccination is weak, because five percent are small. The first dose was received by less than 5,000, that is, 2,000 people were revaccinated. That is very weak for Novi Pazar – said Ćorović.
