BELGRADE – The average net salary in Serbia amounted to 59,698 dinars in September, and it was nominally higher by 11.2 percent, and actually higher by 9.2 percent compared to the same month in 2029, announced the Statistics Office of the Republic.
The average gross salary for September also rose to 82,515 dinars, with a nominal increase of 11.3 percent and a real increase of 9.3 percent compared to September last year.
The median net salary for September 2020 amounted to 45,817 dinars, which means that 50 percent of employees earned up to the stated amount.
In the period from January to September of this year, gross wages in Serbia registered an annual growth of 9.5 percent in nominal terms or 7.8 percent in real terms. At the same time, net wages increased 9.4 percent in nominal terms and 7.7 percent in real terms, according to official statistics.
