Vesić recalled that until now, the control was carried out only by sanitary inspectors, 140 of them for the entire territory of Serbia, that is, 12 for Belgrade, and that by changing the law, that number will now be between 400 and 500.

Vesić announced that the control of the use of masks in public transport will be strengthened from tomorrow.

Do you respect the measures against the crown?

The city immediately began enforcing the law. Last night more than a hundred catering establishments were controlled, some of which were closed for non-compliance with the measures. the bar empties.

During the extraordinary control in the Lazarevac territory, and it was carried out in Sopot, Barajevo and other suburban municipalities, the “Kristal” nightclub was found working again and was immediately emptied and closed. The focus is on catering facilities where the measures are not respected and parties are organized even after 11pm, “Vesić told TV Pink, according to a statement from the city administration.

To be even more efficient, Vesić added, it is necessary for all state bodies to be involved in the implementation of the law, so on that occasion he requested a meeting with the Prime Minister, to include the police and the prosecution.

“Whoever violates the measures, that is, the organizers of the celebrations, is committing a crime. We expect the support of all state agencies to implement the law together, in order to protect the lives of catering service providers who work conscientiously, “Vesić said.

He stated that there are a number of measures that can be taken before a further reduction of the working day, adding that 40,000 people work in the hospitality industry, and that care must be taken that they have not worked at full capacity for nine months.

“Each measure must be harmonized with the economy, because if the economy does not work, there is no money for medical care. It is better to focus on the control and strict implementation of existing measures. Starting tomorrow, we will strengthen control in the public transport and we will make sure that those who do not wear the masks must be removed from the vehicle or be punished. It is inadmissible for a man on the bus not to wear a mask while fifty people wear it, to think that he is smarter than them and enforce some of their own rules, “Vesić noted.
