Only two weeks after its abolition, Trstenik reintroduced a state of emergency in the territory of the municipality, as there was a jump in those infected by the coronavirus. When examining the contacts of the patients, the transmission of the disease in the cafes was verified and the non-compliance with the prescribed preventive measures among citizens was also noted.

The jump of new kovida 19 in the territory of Trstenik was recorded in the last week of September. Thus, a few days ago, it was recorded that of the 11 positives for coronavirus in the Rasina district, up to ten were from Trstenik.

Therefore, at the suggestion of the epidemiological service of Krusevac, an emergency situation was introduced on the territory of the municipality of Trstenik. Dr. Zaklina Ristic, deputy director of the Health Center in Trstenik, says the virus has spread among high school students. Ristic says that it did not happen at school, because not everyone goes to the same school, but at the time when they spend their free time.

“Examining the contacts of these children, it was determined that there was contact between them in cafes, that is outside of school. That was one of the reasons why the epidemiologist proposed the introduction of an emergency situation,” says Dr. Ristic, adding that the schools are completely safe and controlled. .

Ristic says the contacts are mostly isolated, their condition is being monitored, and they all have no symptoms. The Trstenik people we spoke to say they are even more careful when they hear the news about the increase in the number of infected people.

The president of the municipality of Trstenik, Milena Turk, confirmed that the patients were infected in the catering services and that the non-compliance with the epidemiological measures prescribed by the Crisis Personnel was found.

“We made the decision to tighten them. Introducing an emergency situation will shorten the work of the cafes, so those who work indoors will work until 9pm. Then a maximum of five people will be together indoors, the masks will be mandatory in them “. and disinfection will intensify, “Turk said.

In Trstenik, where more than 40,000 people live, just over 100 confirmed cases have been registered since the beginning of the epidemic.
