BELGRADE – Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic said today that the leader of the Freedom and Justice Party, Dragan Djilas, hypocritically urged the government not to close the catering facilities because it is allegedly “afraid of lowering the grades,” while the Officials from his party, Vesic says, at the same time violate prescribed measures and organize parties outside of working hours.

Vesić says that the communal militia witnessed a “scandalous case” in Lazarevac last night, where after 11 pm only one restaurant was operating, which it claims is owned by the vice president of the SAA Municipal Board.

“All other cafes and restaurants in Lazarevac were closed at 11 pm. This shows the hypocrisy of Dragan Djilas, who yesterday asked the state not to close the restaurants, and his officials were having parties that same day,” Vesic told Tanjug .

Vesić said that the new Law for the Protection of the Population against Infectious Diseases was passed to kill those who act as if the virus does not exist and who think that no law applies to them, and that is, he says, Djilas and Petković.

He reiterated that 40,000 people work in restoration in Belgrade, supporting their families, and that the state is trying to preserve all jobs and at the same time protect public health.

“In the next period, we will focus on those who intentionally violate the measures and who are only interested in making money, and not on whether someone will get infected at their parties,” Vesić said.
