The Kosovo government has announced that it will take action against those who brought vaccines to the Serbian areas of northern Kosovo and Metohija, and expressed suspicions that they were “illegally introduced”.

The government says neither customs nor the police have information about the introduction of vaccines in Kosovo and Metohija, announcing measures against those who make it possible, reports Gazeta Express.

“If these vaccines entered Kosovo through illegal channels, then the Kosovo institutions will take the necessary legal measures against the people involved in this illegal activity,” the government response said.

The Prime Minister’s Office states that “the Kosovo institutions did not have any official communication with the Serbian institutions on this matter, neither directly through the liaison offices, nor through the mediation of the international community.”

The start of vaccination in the Serbian communities of Kosovo and Metohija under the auspices of the Serbian Government health system provoked backlash from Albanian representatives in Pristina.

They accuse the Kosovo government of allowing sovereignty in northern Kosovo and Metohija by allowing vaccination.

“Avdulah Hoti surrendered, as did Albin Kurti with 1,000 tests from Serbia. The Serbian government has started vaccinating Kosovo citizens with vaccinations against kovid. And our institutions have not yet been vaccinated against seasonal flu,” they said. some of the comments in Pristina.
