About two hundred people participated in the protest march “All for the chestnut, chestnut for everyone”, which called in the movement “Let’s defend the forests of Fruška Gora” the liberation of the yellow route. They oppose the fence by which the owner of the construction company “Galens” and at the same time the new owner of a large number of plots, including the viewpoint “Kesten”, fenced their property and thus prevented the passage of mountaineers.

Although the Movement believes that it did not have the right to do so, because the trail is registered with the Mountaineering Association, in “Galens” they say that there is no yellow trail in RGZ, and that mountaineers, with the announcement, will be access enabled.

Ready to walk, they answered a call to clear a path. That this is a public road leading to Chestnut, perhaps the most beautiful viewpoint in Fruška gora, which everyone should have the right to enjoy, is the message of the movement that brought them together.

“Folks, this trail has been around for over 120 years. This yellow trail is located on two unclassified public roads. These roads have their cadastral markings,” says Dragana Arsić of the “Let’s defend the Fruška Gora forests” Movement.

According to Dragana Arsić, they are easy to find in the record of the Republic Geodetic Authority and the trail itself in the record of the Vojvodina Mountaineering Association.

He called on the gathered citizens to walk that road, despite the fence and the inscription of private property, because, he says, it is a heritage of civilization that no one has the right to block a public road. She told the citizens that they wanted a peaceful passage and that they expected an open door at the top.

However, the situation was different. As private security guards watched from a distance, the activists cut the padlock and, as they say, cleared the way.

“I am disappointed that the door was not opened, because everything said, at least their statement yesterday that they will let people use the roads as they have used them until now. So this door was illegally installed, we will open it in the most painless way. door and come in, “Arsic said.

And they passed, through the yellow route, through the parcels that are now in the possession of the owners of the companies “Promist” and “Galens”.

All the way to the Chestnut lookout, from where you can see all of Novi Sad.

Hikers and organized tours will always be welcome at this agricultural farm, say the new owners of this and 204 other plots in Fruška gora, as well as the owners of the construction company “Galens”, Sanja and Nebojsa Petrić.

In response to H1’s questions, they say they are willing to show hospitality to the people here, of course, as they say, with advance notice and when everything is in use.

Regarding the findings of the provincial inspection, which previously told the media that they noticed several irregularities in the work carried out, Petrići says they are still waiting for the minutes.

“We will certainly act in accordance with all the requirements of the Office. Otherwise, we have carried out all the above works in accordance with the conditions of the Office. We formed our farm by buying agricultural plots from individuals and renting part of them for a long time.” Mountain trail. RGZ is public and accessible to everyone and everyone can see it, ”say the new owners.

They add that the 205 parcels they bought were distributed in Sremski Karlovci and on the Rakovac stretch, which formed an agricultural farm where they intend to live with their families and dedicate themselves to raising cattle and beekeeping, and that there is no reason for them to citizens fear that they may lower larger residential or tourist facilities.
