By order of the Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office, the Undersecretary of Agriculture DJN was arrested this afternoon on suspicion of having received a bribe, while DC was arrested on suspicion of bribing her.
It is suspected that DJN received a monthly fee from DC, promised benefits in advance for assistance in obtaining a contract in the public procurement procedure of the Ministry of Agriculture in the field of services, which is supported by a foreign fund for the financing of agriculture, the prosecution said.
It is added that DJN has been promised a payment of benefits of about 1,000 euros per month, for the next two years, while the execution of the public procurement contract lasts.

The vice minister is suspected of the crime of accepting bribes, and DC for bribery.
The arrest operation was carried out by members of the Ministry of the Interior, Directorate of Police and Service for the Fight against Organized Crime, around noon today, by order of the Prosecutor’s Office, after several months of pre-investigation procedures.
The suspects were detained by the police and will be transferred to the Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office with a criminal complaint.
