Up to 44 phones of members of Veljko Belivuk’s group were seized. All of them were sent in search of expertise to eventually uncover new evidence that would link Velja Nevolja to the crimes of which they are suspected.
Veljko Belivuk, better known as Velja Nevolja, was arrested on February 4, when at dawn, in a “smart” car, he was heading to Rudnik, where he planned to burn evidence. Parallel to his arrest, actions to capture members of his group were carried out in Belgrade and Serbia.
Cars and mobile phones were confiscated from Belivuk and his associates, up to 44. The encrypted devices, which were confiscated by order of the Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office, were sent in search of experts to find recordings and images of crimes committed, as well as communications between members of a group where crime is discussed.
Police Minister Aleksandar Vulin affirmed that these devices have already been decoded, as well as that numerous evidences of criminal acts have been found in them. Some of these crimes were known to have been committed by Belivuk’s group, and some had just been discovered to be theirs. The phones are decoded using high-tech devices from abroad.
Photographs of brutal torture and abuse
So far, it is known that the police have already discovered numerous such evidence against Belivuk’s group on their phones. This is confirmed by previously published and intervened telephone conversations between Belivuk and members of his criminal group, in which they talk about the planning of the liquidation of Milan Ljepoja, the leader of the “Pink Panther”. Ljepoja is believed to have been brutally murdered at Velja’s weekend home in Ritopek, because he “became too strong” and “wants to take over Nis”.
Photographs of torture and brutal abuse of the Belivuk victims were also revealed, sent by members of his group to the most loyal “soldiers”, but also to rival groups, as a last warning and reminder of what happens to those who stand in the way. their way.
Photos sent through the protected “Sky” network show bodies with clearly recognizable traces of torture. However, the perpetrators of these horrible crimes are not seen in the images.
Special codes and permanent data erasure
As “Blic” wrote, the phones of Velja Nevolja and his “soldiers” had an encrypted application “Sky”, which uses encrypted data that is practically impossible to “enter”, because they use a special type of protection. It is even possible to permanently delete all data sent through this application by entering a special code.
This is why it is especially popular with criminals, who pay more than 1,000 euros for the “iPhone 7” with a three-month subscription to “Sky”. By the way, to activate the license of this application it is necessary to reserve from 600 to 2,000 euros.
This application became especially popular after the closure of the EncroChat system, which was hacked by Western intelligence services a few years ago and made public, ushering in a new era in the fight against organized crime.
