Criminal charges will be brought against Milena Doborosavljević (87) of Jagodina for causing widespread danger after her dog bit seven passersby.

The drama took place on Kupreška Street in Jagodina on Tuesday evening.
– It was around 8 at night when barking and screaming were heard in the street. I walked out of the yard and saw Med’s dog running towards passersby. Some women screamed, one was caught with an ankle tracksuit and three or four fled. Another woman tried to escape to the car, but Meda caught up with her and scratched her. That surprised me because we knew her in the neighborhood as a benevolent person with whom children could play. The shelter said yesterday that the dog is behaving normally and that it will never be attacked, and there is currently no decision on what will happen to it.
According to the neighbors, the benevolent Meda has not attacked anyone so far. She had a habit when children came from another street and threw stones at her to get under a car and she almost whimpered. This time, according to neighbors, it was in a container.
They say that someone tried to chase him away and then the horror began because the dog was afraid that he would be beaten.
That it was benevolent is also confirmed by its owner, the elderly Milena.
– I have a visual impairment and I survived the stroke, so I move badly. The honey dripped off as he spoke to a neighbor by the door. However, I saw him and let him run out as usual and walked out the door to enter the courtyard when he came back. He couldn’t follow him so old and helpless. I’m sorry it happened on the street, as I found out later, but I’m also sorry Mede. He will probably fall asleep, and he was my best friend since I live alone. He was cute, hugged and wagging his tail. The children played with him and I don’t know what happened to him and what made me so angry. Someone must have attacked him. He somehow protected me and now he and I are grazing. It was the police and they say I’m going to answer for Meda – said Grandma Milena.
The police intervened at the citizens’ call and the dog was admitted to the asylum that same night.
According to the official police statement, Meda assaulted the seventh person. Fortunately, after surgery in the ER, almost everyone had only scratches, and one person suffered a bite on his leg, for which he had to undergo full medical treatment to protect himself from the consequences.
