Today, the Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates a holiday dedicated to the memory of the Holy Apostle Kodrat, a holy scholar and sage from the 1st century AD.

Legend has it that this writing left such an impression on the emperor that he ordered that Christians no longer be persecuted unless there was a clear fault on the part of one of them.

Saint Kodrat is considered the protector of scholars. Those who want to receive a part of the wisdom of this holy man on this day should light a candle for him in church and dedicate this prayer to him:
“Apostle Saint Kodrate, pray to the Merciful God to grant forgiveness of sins to our souls.”
