It is true, he says, that the fact that Kovacevic was issued a travel document in due time, confiscated by the US authorities, and virtually allowed to escape the United States, was not done without the knowledge of the Belgrade authorities.
If they did it without the knowledge of the Serbian authorities, they may have done it because they got some money, Dacic said, recalling that the Serbian Foreign Minister was Vuk Jeremic, and the other man in that department was Borko Stefanovic. .
“There is no possibility that someone was willing to risk their career for something like that, and I am convinced that it is a political agreement. They received suspended sentences so as not to transfer responsibility to someone else,” Dacic said on the Hit-tweet program .
Miladin Kovacevic was arrested last week, for violence reported by his girlfriend, but was released to defend himself.
