IF THE CROWN IS BURNED AND THERE IS NO PLACE IN THE HOSPITALS: This is where Serbian citizens will be treated if they collapse: THE STATE HAS A SOLUTION

This possibility is foreseen by the Law of Reform to the Law of Protection against Infectious Diseases, which was debated today in the Assembly. This measure will be applied only in the event that all isolation and treatment capacities are filled, and the decision on this will be made by the Government of Serbia.

Although the appearance of the coronavirus is strong and hospitals are almost full, this measure aims more to “cover all possibilities” that, at least for now, there is a real need to apply it in practice. Even if that happened, it wouldn’t be our specificity. France, for example, had so many patients in the first wave of the epidemic that it had to transport its citizens to hospitals in Switzerland and Belgium.

For our situation, based on this preventive measure, at this time, the provisions of the law are much more important, which allow the legal framework to implement anti-epidemic measures in a more disciplined manner, and punish those who do not respect them. Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar pointed out in today’s Assembly, explaining that the law is being changed to control the corona virus epidemic. And that the changes should allow us to keep the epidemic under control in the next period and reduce the side effects and consequences of the global coronary virus pandemic.

The new law also introduces new terms such as personal protection (mandatory mask where prescribed), home isolation – for positive for the coronavirus virus without symptoms or with a mild condition that does not require hospital treatment, quarantine at home for those who were in contact with those infected during the maximum incubation period, that is, 14 days.
