If you wear the mask under your nose, on your chin, or in any other way that doesn’t cover key parts of your face, you can be fined.

The use of a mask is the most important preventive measure and, as is known, its use is mandatory in certain circumstances, for example, in public transport and indoors.
Do you respect the measures against the crown?
For some time now, the communal militia and inspectorate have the right to control the observance of epidemiological measures and to impose sanctions for non-compliance. This includes wearing a mask, and since many still wear masks incorrectly, usually without covering their nose, journalists from the 021.rs portal asked the communal services in Vojvodina if they would punish citizens who do not wear a mask correctly.
As they say for 021 in the City Administration for Inspection Matters, during the controls, the communal services refer to the expert instructions “Trampoline”, in which it is indicated that the mask is used correctly to have a protective function, which which means that the mask must cover the nose, mouth and chin, and adhere firmly to the face.

“Given the protective role of the protective mask in preventing the spread of infectious diseases, it is necessary to use it in the prescribed manner, that is, the improper use of them will be understood as non-compliance with personal protection measures, which carries responsibility for a minor offense ”, they explain in the Municipal Administration.
This means that you can be held liable for a misdemeanor, that is, paying a fine of 5,000 dinars if you wear a mask under your nose, chin, or otherwise irregularly on public transport and indoors. Such punishment was recently introduced through amendments to the Law on the Protection of the Population Against Infectious Diseases.
The improper use of the mask endangers the spread of the coronavirus at a time when Novi Sad, but also Vojvodina and all of Serbia are registering record numbers of infected, deceased and hospitalized citizens. The spread of the coronavirus also affects a number of irresponsible citizens who think that the virus is a “global conspiracy” and a fictitious phenomenon, and do not respect the measures that protect their lives, as well as the lives of everyone else.
