The fact is that we do not understand that the crown is a threat, there is still talk that the situation in our country is stable … However, the situation is extremely unstable, it is unfavorable for Belgrade next week, perhaps for the end this week we are in an emergency situation, “said Dr. Predrag Kon as a guest on TV Prva.
He also stressed that everyone is justifiably concerned.
– The medical part of the Crisis Staff advised me to express their protest and concern for the total lack of respect for the measures of wearing a mask. If we do not have barriers that prevent contacts, we are opening the way for the virus – said Kon.
As few times as Dr. Conn was he worried and angry.
– I tell everyone to the citizens and the authorities now, if the masks do not work, then there must be a blockade, blockade, I no longer care how it will be implemented. Lawyers should sit down and explain why something can or cannot be done. From the beginning I’ve been saying that my only part is epidemiology, and I won’t get away with it. I do my job and nothing else – added Kon.
Once again he spoke about the seriousness of the situation in Belgrade.
– Our capacities are beginning to be wasted, now we need the support of the entire population. I am not interested in politics and mistrust, the facts show the potential of the virus. Yesterday 116 people were registered in Belgrade, half of them only from covid centers, 58 of them, were also diagnosed in other places. We follow the kovid center and there is 20% positivity. Belgrade is getting into a serious situation – noted Dr. Kon.
Images that show a lack of respect for the measure are unacceptable, and if we continue like this it will be like in Croatia.
– At one thirty, the music was playing with hundreds of people under the tent. Even in Belgrade, there are places where demonstrations are organized. We have not understood and will not listen to what is happening around us. In a week or two, in Serbia, this behavior can be the same as in Croatia. That is completely certain, you see a boycott of measures and that everything is politicized – said the epidemiologist Kon.
He also said that Serbia was an oasis until two weeks ago, but that as of October 3 the number began to grow.
When it comes to the corona virus in schools, Dr. Kon said that more and more students will switch to online classes.
– Now there is no need to close, but if group by group goes to online classes, then an organizational question arises. Does it make any sense that the school works? But that is a matter of the ministry. The surveillance system has been established, and whoever says we don’t know the situation, that story by heart – concluded Dr. Kon.
