The identification was carried out by the prosecutor on duty at the Doboj District Prosecutor’s Office, which is leading the investigation.
Three colleagues of this Serbian citizen, Đ.P (76), JP (78) and RP (82), also all from the Beocin municipality area, were injured. After receiving medical assistance at the Derventa Health Center, they were transferred to the Doboj hospital.
As we have learned unofficially, Petrović was killed on the spot and his co-pilot Đ.P. he suffered serious life-threatening injuries.
The traffic accident occurred around 12.20, and Petrović’s “Mercedes”, mortally wounded, collided with a van driven by MS (36), from Derventa, who was also injured.

They went to their homeland
As “Novosti” learns, the four Beočin veterans of “Mercedes” are in close family ties with Petrović. The late Vojin at age 70 was also the youngest passenger, and the oldest was the RP 82. We learned that they went to visit his hometown, that is, his homeland in Glamoč (FBiH).
The accident in Lug caused a kilometer-long convoy of vehicles and a traffic blockage for several hours on the main road Derventa_Prnjavor, and further on towards Brod, Doboj and Bijeljina.
And it is that, less than 24 hours before, on Saturday night around 8:10 p.m., also in almost the same place in the Lug settlement, near Derventa, there was a traffic accident in which, also with several hours of traffic jams, four more people were injured. A DS man from Derven (55) (55), whose Opel Astra collided with a Bora car driven by a 28-year-old NP, suffered life-threatening injuries.
