Although graphic design is not his profession, the appearance of the banknotes that you proposed enchanted many Internet users.
“I expected good reactions, but I didn’t expect all of Serbia to share my works,” says Petar.
Regarding the themes of the banknotes, he chose motifs from Serbian history because he believes that they should be presented in the best possible light.
“I tried to do something new, which has not yet been done in our country, and that is plastic money,” explains the young designer.
He also thought that it would be nice to connect art with history, so he came up with the idea to put 50 dinars on the bill. Such an uprising – a painting by Paja Jovanović, one of the greatest Serbian painters.
A possible official request that their proposals be considered when new banknotes are made will wait a while, because Petar wants to design and make other denominations first.
He says that he would like to see at least his proposals taken into account, because obviously people liked them and would be happy to work on such a project.
From hobby to work
Peter not only worked on the design of the new banknotes, but also has a proposal for new license plates.
“They were the inspiration for the American table, where each city can have its own motives. “I think people would be proud to have such plates on their cars,” says Petar.
He did everything as a hobby, but admits that it may have become his job.
“I would like to take care of that,” Petar is sincere, revealing that some offers have come in, but that, above all, he is glad that people have liked his work so much.
