Today, the Serbian Assembly started the debate on the Draft Law on Ministries, which creates the conditions for the formation of a new Serbian Government next week.
After the scrutiny, the President of the Assembly, Ivica Dačić, said that the session was attended by 214 deputies, and that there was a majority of the total of deputies, which fulfilled the quorum for the work of the Assembly.
From the beginning, Dacic showed what kind of discipline MPs can expect.
He asked them not to be late, but to be in the room at exactly 10 o’clock, so that the sessions could start on time.
Dacic also announced that all Vice Presidents of the National Assembly will preside over the sessions.
“That should allow this National Assembly to be a home where we will foster mutual tolerance and everyone’s responsibility for the functioning and dignity of our parliament,” Dacic explained.
We have no idea who plays Partizan and Zvezda
During the discussion, the president of United Serbia, Dragan Markovic Palma, proposed the introduction of a special ministry for school sports. As he explained, that is necessary because we have the best talents in the schools, while on the other hand, we do not know who plays in Partizan and Crvena zvezda.
– Why for school sports? We have the best talents in schools, but those talents must be followed and directed. 15% of children are born with talent, and with work and effort they reach a professional, if someone works with him. We have no idea who’s playing for Zvezda and Parztizan today. Whoever starts playing for Serbia will stumble, like Grandma Mileva. Today, kids don’t even go to physical education. I no longer watch basketball as an athlete, what should I watch, when? Who plays for Zvezda, who for Partizan? We used to be world champions – argued Markovic.
He added that today when it comes to sports, interest comes first,
– That’s why Zvezda and Partizan owe a lot of money today. There is no love, only interest – said Markovic.
Voting on the appointment of REC members
Dacic announced that the deputies will vote today on the appointment of the members of the REC and the appointment of the Deputy Secretary General of the Assembly.
The Deputy General Secretaries Veljko Odalović has been proposed to be the former General Secretaries Srdjan Smiljanić and Branko Marinković.
These decisions, unlike the Draft Law on Ministries, will not be discussed in detail, so parliamentarians can comment on them.
Dacic told deputies that it is possible for them to work today after 6 pm
According to the announcement, Prime Minister-designate Ana Brnabić is due to present her cabinet and presentations in Parliament on Wednesday, October 28, and the new ministers will be known after the SNS Presidency session, to be held on Sunday, October 25.
According to the draft law of ministries, the Government of Serbia will be made up of 21 ministries, and three new ones will be the Ministry of Family Care and Demography, the Ministry of Human Rights, Gender Equality and Social Dialogue, as well as the Ministry of Rural Care .
The ministries of finance, economy, agriculture, forestry and water management, environmental protection, construction, transport and infrastructure, mining and energy, trade, tourism and telecommunications remain.
They will continue to be the Ministry of Justice, as well as the state administration and local self-government, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense, Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of European Integration, as well as the Ministries of Education, Health, Youth and Sports, Culture and Information. Social problems.
