“It is an honor for me when every time a government is formed, my name is mentioned among those who could be ministers. Obviously, a part of the public thinks that I am doing my job well and that is a kind of praise for me. I will stay in Belgrade, then I will not be a minister. I am part of the politics of the SNS and Aleksandar Vučić and I am happy to be in a team that has done great things for Serbia, “Vesić said on Kurir television’s” Usijanje “program.

He noted that “the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is cautious in forming a government” which, as he stated, must continue the work of the current government.

“It is very important that this government is of high quality and guarantees the political and economic stability of the country,” Vesic believes, adding that there are “many who are interested” in Serbia not being stable and independent.

Vesić confirmed that the head of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Đurić, will be the new ambassador to Washington.

He criticized the opposition and the media “who are in favor” of the attack on Đurić, noting that he led more than 220 negotiations on Kosovo and Metohija.

“Marko Đurić is one of the best politicians in this country and it is unfortunate what kind of campaign is being carried out against him. And Serbia will be proud of what he is doing, and President Vučić knows what he is doing. We will have to someone who can match the Albanians and fight for us in the United States, “Vesić said.

He also criticized the opposition for attacking the agreement in Washington, but also for the source in Slavija and many other projects.

He emphasized that Vučić managed to impose the Serbian voice in Western countries for the first time, and evaluated that the Washington Accord is the result of a great foreign policy led by the Serbian president.

“Find a country in the world whose president has such frequent meetings with world leaders,” Vesić said, recalling that the Serbian president had met several times with the leaders of the world’s major powers.

He added that the visit of the White House special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina negotiations, Richard Grenel, to Serbia is important because he will see President Vučić and other officials, adding that he has made great efforts to resolve the Kosovo issue.

Vesić said that eight years ago there was a divided political scene in Kosovo and Metohija, and that today the Serbs are united.

He claimed that Belgrade lost a lot of money due to the coronavirus.

“All the measures taken by the Serbian government were to save jobs, and I am happy because I think we succeeded,” Vesić said.

He pointed out that every night the working hours of about 200 bars are controlled, and that yesterday there were five bars that did not comply with that.

Vesić added that the objective is not to punish, but to warn people that they must protect their health and that of others by respecting the measures.

He added that the Government was asked to establish rules for electric scooters, as well as for bicycles.

“It is not known what kind of protection it should have, how fast we can drive or what is the allowed age,” Vesić said.

As he stated, the objective is not to ban the use of scooters, but to regulate their use.

Vesić also announced an upcoming tender that would bring a new way to charge for public transport in the capital, and when asked about reducing the ticket price, he said it could be discussed when everyone starts paying for tickets.
