Images of a bag in a park in Thailand travel the world after a woman discovered that a seven-day-old baby was left in her bag.
– The baby was found by Račani Berit (68) who went for a jog in the morning and then heard unusual sounds in the bag on the bench. She came in and had something to do with it: there was a baby inside.
Security camera video showed a woman leaving the child on the bench around 5:39 a.m. and leaving, presumed to be the mother.
The baby was dressed and wrapped in a towel, left on a bench in the center of town, and left with him a bottle of milk, diapers and handkerchiefs.
– I called an ambulance immediately. I’m glad I found the baby before something bad happened – says this woman. The baby received first aid and the police are currently reviewing the images and trying to find the mother.
– Times are tough, especially after the pandemic. The mother may have left the child for lack of money. We will investigate the case – said the police.
