The medical technician at the Kragujevac Clinical Center, Djordje Stamatovic, is one of the doctors who contracted the coronavirus and, instead of treating and caring for others, became a patient in his own hospital.

On the occasion of the celebration of International Nurses Day, Stamatović says that the work is not easy and that during this pandemic, the coronavirus was seen to be dangerous.

This “medical brother,” as sympathetic patients call them, is otherwise diabetic, which is why, as he says, his colleagues protected him for that, so they took care of confirmed patients, while he took care of suspected corona virus. . When he became infected, he changed his job with a hospital bed.

“I was admitted to my clinic, where I used to treat and care for her,” she says, adding that during her illness she noticed that her blood sugar level was at a normal level.

“I don’t know what the cause is, if the medications or the crown ‘ate’ my diabetes,” asks Stamatovic, who spent almost a month in various hospital wards and then in isolation, adding that he was more afraid of not infecting a pregnant wife.

He believes he was infected early in the epidemic, when they had few space suits, so he says they had to organize them wisely, and they also sewed protective masks.
