Ђ. It is suspected that S. entered the home of Stevan Gluvić (70) in disguise on 23 December in the village of Jevremovac, near Šabac, hit him several times with a wooden stick and took 8,600 dinars.

– I honestly didn’t feel comfortable! He was aggressive, he hit me … He didn’t hit me much, but he didn’t need to! Say what I had and I said I had no more. Then we fight a little around the neck, we split them in half… – says Stevan.

Previously unknown people came to the door of this 70-year-old man asking for money. He did not give because he did not have. Stevan assumes they were waiting for the state to pay the 5,000 dinar retiree aid and started the action the same day.

– It’s not easy for me, I have nothing. I have flour, I will knead it and I wanted to leave the money that they took from me at Christmas to buy fish. I do not have it now. The only thing is to borrow, but I’m not used to it, and my pension is only 15. The state helped me, now it’s gone – Stevan tells us.

He adds that he has no enemies, that he does not hold a grudge against anyone and that, after the death of his mother, he lives alone, and the children of the village love and respect him.

– When I go to the store, all my children yell “uncle, uncle.” I bought them a ball for a year, but they don’t carry it, says Stevan.

He spends his winter days under the balcony, gathering pets around him. He does not ask or beg for help. He says he’s used to surviving, and Pink’s team brought him some groceries during the visit, until his retirement.

It is important that he saved his head, and he tries to forget the unpleasant event as soon as possible, but as he says, every night he dreams of strangers who come to his door.
