BELGRADE – Fatigue, solidarity and perseverance are part of the daily life of Serbian health workers who have been fighting for months to save the health and lives of those infected with the corona virus and, as they say, the greatest denial in that fight it is the separation of the family.
Among them is Igor Lazić, an anesthesiologist at the Neurosurgery Clinic of the Serbian Clinical Center, who, as he says, took his daughter from her parents for the first time after six months.
“The biggest sacrifice for us is separation from the family. My wife is also in the covid system and I took my daughter away from my parents for the first time after six months,” Lazic told reporters today, along with other health workers. red zones kovid hospitals of the Belgrade territory, met with Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar.
Lazic expressed the hope that the situation regarding the coronavirus in our country will calm down, but also added that the fight continues.
His colleague, anesthesiologist Marina Stojanović from the Clinic for Burn, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Serbian Clinical Center, said that a large number of her colleagues were helping in various kovid hospitals.
“We tried to do the job as best we could with our colleagues from other covid hospitals. A great burden fell on our colleagues who stayed in the clinics because we tried to maintain a certain level of work that had to be completed, so the colleagues who were not in the Kovid hospitals worked very hard, ”he said.
He added that the most difficult thing for them was that they were separated from their loved ones.
“Most of us are family members and the most difficult thing for us was the separation of the children, and we had to move them to a safe place and protect them,” Stojanović added.
He stated that the fight with the crown was the most difficult for them at the beginning, but that they followed all the European and world recommendations and tried to respond in the best possible way to the tasks that were put to them.
“I think we were very successful in that,” concluded Stojanovic.
