– You heard what the president said. Very ambitious goals. I think the atmosphere is good.

Siniša Mali said it received an offer from the president and prime minister “which was not rejected.”

– I received an offer to continue leading the finance department. Stay in the next government, and I will fight to meet the goals set, high growth rate, new roads, jobs.

Minister Mali said that he also congratulated Šapić on entering the government.

– Hard years await us, the world is changing, in just one year the world order has changed because of the crown. There will be pressure because of Kosovo, and that is why it is important that we all come together, and I am glad that Šapić has agreed to be part of the team.

In 2022, there will be new elections at all levels.

– It is an opportunity for everyone to prove their worth again. The reforms cannot stop, we have a fixed-term objective, but we have a very difficult year and a half ahead of us.

As you said, if you have money in the budget, then you can fight the crown, and for jobs, and for interests in Kosovo, to strengthen the defense industry.

– The economy permeates everything. Until a couple of years ago, we were the last in Europe in terms of growth rate, and this year we will be the first in Europe, and Vučić set the same goal for next year as well.

When asked why the elections will be held again in 2022, Mali said:

– Do we have to pay the same three times? On the organization of three elections. I think Vučić made it clear what will happen the previous year and a half. It is logical that everything ends in a moment, and you do not want to lose a whole year in the elections.

Mali referred to the words of Dragan Djilas, who assures that Serbia’s debt is much higher than what was officially announced.

– Djilas has no idea about public finances and the way the economy works. Thanks to him for listing all the great projects that the Government has launched. So the debt is absolutely under control and citizens don’t have to worry about it. Public debt is an instrument of economic policy.

The minister emphasized that Serbia also has 1.9 billion direct public investments this year, which represents an instrument for the conduct of economic policy.

He then spoke about the arrival of the US DFC, whose money will help in the development of micro, small and medium-sized companies, which will boost their liquidity during the epidemic.

– The Americans want to raise it to an even higher level. They want to extend the maturity of the loans they grant to small, micro and medium-sized companies. I hope it definitely starts by the end of the year. After negotiations in Washington, after just two weeks, they opened an office in Belgrade.

Mali emphasized that he hopes that the arrival of DFC will encourage other investors to come to our country.

– We want to build roads, new railways, to revitalize the country. We are absolutely striving to reach the goal that by the end of 2025, the average salary in Serbia will be 900 euros and the pension from 430 to 440 euros. These are ambitious but precisely defined goals.
