The host of the morning show of the First Television, Bojana Ristivojević, wears a smile as her best weapon, with which she drives clouds of negativity. Listen to your heart and the advice of family and friends is always helpful. The morning program suits her, so she didn’t shake her biorhythm.
It’s been a few weeks since you joined the “Morning” team. How did you manage? Were you nervous at first?
– I can’t say I was nervous. I remember that I only had it the first time I went out in front of the cameras and it was almost paralyzing … Now I just felt a great responsibility and wanting everything to be as it should be, and that’s why I was really there during the first and second appearances of the morning. pretty laid back. I did not work for more than a year, so I needed a short adjustment period.
Are you used to waking up five hours ago?
– Waking up early was not difficult for me. Many forget that seven or eight years ago I was leading a morning show that started before 5 a.m. and woke me up at 3:20. I like to get up early, especially during winter when the day is shorter.
Do people’s criticism and comments affect you?
– I thank God that over time I have learned to distinguish between well-intentioned and malicious criticism. For that good intention to make me happy, make me better and correct me in what I am doing wrong. I often ask my associates and colleagues for feedback and every time they ask me what I want to hear first, good or bad, I tell them badly to work on it (on correction). I have never met anyone who is perfect, who has never been wrong. He who works, makes mistakes, and he who makes mistakes and understands the mistake can correct it. Malicious criticism that does not arise from a desire to be better (with good intentions) but from an intention to offend someone is not something I react to. But people have the right to comment, just like I have the right not to comment or read.
Would you like to have your own show and how would it be conceived?
– I don’t think about it at the moment because I dedicate myself to the morning program to the maximum and I see myself in that. Working for years on television, I got to know a lot of interesting people, landscapes, I heard various stories about customs, some human deeds, miracles and I consider our country the most beautiful in the world, and our people the best and noblest. If I ever had an authoring program in the future, I would dedicate myself to it.
You are always positive and smiling. How much does it push you forward?
– I was born optimistic and I try to see everything well, no matter how much something hits me. Whatever happens, I always tell myself how happy I should be that something much worse could have happened to me. I believe that everything happens to us for a reason, so that we can learn everything we need to know while we are where we are. In any case, each of us has only two options at the same time, to be happy or unhappy. I chose this one first.
Do you reconsider your decisions?
– I don’t reconsider my decision much … When I’m wrong, I don’t see it as something tragic, I’m not afraid. I listen to my inner voice. I consult it with my best friend, my family.
What can cause you to miss a step and how do you react then?
– As I get older, fewer and fewer things can throw me off balance. Somehow I am more and more tolerant, but what I am not immune to is a lie, no matter how small, harmless, it is something I cannot bear.
I found peace of mind
You spend a lot of time visiting the beauties of Serbia, but also the monasteries. How important is spiritual peace to you?
– Peace of mind is the most important thing for me, especially in this time full of various temptations, crown, nervousness … When I was a child, I spent a lot of time talking with my godfather Bran, who was a priest in our town. He’s retired now, but we still apologize when I have a dilemma. While visiting the monasteries, I also met many wonderful brothers and sisters, monks and nuns, clergymen who are a great support to me and with whom I am always happy to see and consult. I think that is what we lack the most as a nation, faith in God, in people, in goodness. Let’s not just deal with gossip, let’s not criticize others all day, let’s not just point out the bad ones, but finally start to see good and beautiful things, to talk about them, to change ourselves, to be better. Let’s be an example.
