Economy Minister Goran Knezevic had a traffic accident at the intersection of Milutin Milankovic and Emil Gavril boulevards in Zrenjanin, when he ran over a pedestrian in a crosswalk with his private car “Škoda Kodiaq” with Zrenjanin license plate.
Namely, it turns out that Minister Knezevic hung a pedestrian (75) who was crossing the street at the crosswalk with a rear view mirror.
– Everything happened quickly, the car hit the man crossing the crosswalk with the rear view mirror, and only then did Minister Knezevic get out of the car. The stoplight at that intersection did not work, so it likely contributed to this accident, eyewitnesses say.
Minister Knezevic confirmed to Kurir that the accident occurred and says a police investigation is expected.
– The man is in the Emergency Center and the recordings are waiting. It looked good at first glance, but that’s what the doctors will say. He got up alone, communicated, we talked, but he needs to be examined. Hope everything goes well. I am here now, waiting for the police to complete the investigation – Knezevic said for Kurir.
The minister says the car he was driving was his.
